Er f\u00e4hrt von einem Hafen in den USA in den n\u00e4chsten. Nach New York und Norfolk legte das Schiff gestern in Charleston an und wird heute Abend in Savannah sein. Bisher war es sehr \u00fcberall sehr kalt und die Crew der Filipinos, die aus einer Gegend kommt, wo immer Sommer ist, hat sehr gefroren. Aber die Matrosen haben von Eis und Schnee auf dem Schiff Fotos gemacht und an ihre Verwandten daheim geschickt, die so etwas nicht kennen. In Charleston waren einige an Land. Jeff hat sich eine neue Lederjacke gekauft. Er ist \u00fcbrigens seit wenigen Tagen nicht mehr Stewart, sondern ein Matrose an Deck. Es st\u00f6rt ihn auch nicht, dass er etwas weniger verdient als vorher und dass er nun in die K\u00e4lte hinaus muss, um das Schiff zu s\u00e4ubern oder im Hafen Wache zu laufen. Peti war noch nicht an Land, aber er will es heute Abend in Savannah versuchen. N\u00e4chste Station ist dann \u00fcbrigens wieder Freeport, wo Katrin am 16.
